    AMERICOM-5 (AMC-5) is an all Ku-band satellite located at 79o W.L. All of AMC-5's 16 transponders feature 54 MHz of bandwidth capacity to allow customers to simultaneously carry two analog signals or a combination of analog and digital channels on a single transponder. AMC-5 serves the SNG, occasional services, VSAT, business television and broadband Internet market segments. To insure transponder availability during peak demand periods, a dedicated pool of occasional transponders are available to news customers.
