    AMERICOM-2 (AMC-2) was launched in January of 1997, into the 85o West orbital location, where it provided a wide variety of communications services. Today, AMC-2 is located at 85o West, where it provides dedicated Ku-band services for television broadcasting. The C-band payload is currently not available for commercial services.
