EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-4 years of experience as a Spacecraft Controller.
• Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent .
• Working knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and spacecraft operations.
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate spacecraft(s) to ensure high system availability.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills (both oral and written).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, EXCEL and Access.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operates a TT&C ground station in accordance with approved procedures and the daily operations plan.
• Monitors spacecraft telemetry data, transmits commands as required and performs ranging operations.
• Reacts to emergencies and makes decisions within approved guidelines.
• Notifies the TT&C Manger, the appropriate Analyst or other on-call personnel of any event not covered in the plans or procedures.
• Performs off-line data reduction tasks.
• Operates effectively in a high-pressure work environment.
• Operates ground station independently.
• Rotate shifts on 24-hour duty, 7 days per week; Position could potentially become a fixed shift.
• Requires lifting of up to 60 lbs.
