- 2-4 years of experience as a Spacecraft Controller.
- Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent .
- Working knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and spacecraft operations.
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate spacecraft(s) to ensure high system availability.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills (both oral and written).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, EXCEL and Access.
- Operates a TT&C ground station in accordance with approved procedures and the daily operations plan.
- Monitors spacecraft telemetry data, transmits commands as required and performs ranging operations.
- Reacts to emergencies and makes decisions within approved guidelines.
- Notifies the TT&C Manger, the appropriate Analyst or other on-call personnel of any event not covered in the plans or procedures.
- Performs off-line data reduction tasks.
- Operates effectively in a high-pressure work environment.
- Operates ground station independently.
- Rotate shifts on 24-hour duty, 7 days per week; Position could potentially become a fixed shift.
- Requires lifting of up to 60 lbs.
