    Context:

    The Small Telco Market Sales Manager, in tandem with the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) sells to the IP-PRIME video services product to the 1,000 telephone companies across the US with less than 100,000 homes served in their territories.


    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3+ years experience in sales and/or marketing related to technology and media, preferably in the cable TV, satellite TV, or telco video services fields.
    • Bachelors degree in equivlent field of study.
    • Excellent selling and marketing skills required.
    • Strong negotiation and organizational skills required.
    • Ability to team and also work independently.
    • Must have a passion for and strong interest in technology and ability to impart understanding to others.
    • Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in delivering crisp presentations.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
    • Extensive travel required
    • US citizen or Permanent Resident required.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Share responsibility with NRTC for prospecting customers and closing deals.
    • Attend contract negotiations between NRTC and telephone company and assist in negotiating deals.
    • Provide marketing support for IP-PRIME sales efforts to small telcos, including responding to all questions about IP-PRIME service.
    • Attend trade and regional events to increase visibility and promote services.
    • Liaison with engineering and operations to ensure service deliverables.
    • Maintain ongoing relationship with NRTC partners.
    • Travel to rural telco markets throughout the US and build effective working relationships with local telco managers
