    Context:

    This position is responsible for providing engineering support and spacecraft anomaly investigation for Computer Systems Engineering, spacecraft analysts, TT&C site managers and the Vice President of Spacecraft Operations for the Spacebus Fleet.


    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 10+ years experience in Spacecraft Operations, Spacecraft Engineering or related activity, with at least 3 years experience on Spacebus Satellite Bachelors Bachelor's Degree preferred in Space Science, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
    • Excellent knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and spacecraft operations
    • Ability to effect change to ensure highest fleet safety and reliability
    • Good writing
    • Strong interpersonal
    • Proficiency with common software programs (Microsoft Word)
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
    • Knowledge of French a plus

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide first level engineering support for the Spacecraft Analysts and TT&C Site Managers for the Spacebus Fleet
    • Lead or participate in on-orbit spacecraft anomaly investigations for the Spacebus Fleet. Issue investigation reports, immediate corrective actions for on-orbit spacecraft, and long-term corrective actions for future spacecraft
    • Perform on-orbit trending and analysis for all Spacebus spacecraft subsystems
    • Participate in the development translation, and maintenance of operational procedures via independent review and involvement with the Spacecraft Procedure Review Board
    • Support spacecraft health letters/presentations for customers and insurance community
    • Develop material and support department training activities, including initial spacecraft training and subsequent anomaly response training
