- Bachelors Degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- 10-15 years related work experience required
- Strong background in geosynchronous spacecraft, with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of spacecraft subsystems
- Understanding of satellite bus and payload architectures, systems design, trade-off studies, and data analysis techniques with good experience with on-orbit satellite operations
- Working knowledge of spacecraft test methods, functional requirements and verification, and technical documentation review
- Experience in satellite anomaly investigation, in-orbit test planning and activities, satellite technology and testing methodology
- Strong computer skills required, especially Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Perform as a focal point for engineering support for a spacecraft of the in-orbit fleet
- Coordinate the engineering team support to identify technical constraints and assure all spacecraft performance requirements are met on-orbit and verified throughout in-orbit test and on-orbit operation of the in-orbit fleet
- Coordinate engineering support for special on-orbit related activities such as health reports, insurance packages and/or development of payload in-orbit test systems
- Support Anomaly Management process through anomaly reviews and on-orbit performance analysis for the in-orbit fleet
- Support In-Orbit Monitor & Control process through spacecraft procedure development, training, limits/alerts review and data trending
- Ensure all satellite health and performance documentation is complete and accurate for the spacecraft of the in-orbit fleet
- Provide Technical Support for internal processes such as Business Development, Marketing/Sales, Legal and Sourcing departments
- Participate in initial in-orbit checkout and support in-orbit testing
- Travel to vendor sites and SES AMERICOM earth stations
