    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
    • 5-10 years related work experience required
    • Strong background in geosynchronous spacecraft, with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of payload subsystems
    • Understanding of satellite payload architectures, communications system design, trade-off studies, and data analysis techniques with good experience with satellite design review process
    • Working knowledge of spacecraft RF test methods, functional requirements and verification, and technical documentation review
    • Experience in satellite design, Integration and Test (I&T) activities, and/or spacecraft manufacturing desirable
    • Strong computer skills required, especially Microsoft Office
    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
    • Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform as the focal point for payload engineering support for a specific satellite program and spacecraft of the in-orbit fleet
    • Coordinate the engineering team support to assure all payload performance requirements are met in the design and verified throughout ground and in-orbit test activities
    • Attend spacecraft design reviews and generate/evaluate action items
    • Ensure all payload design documentation is complete and accurate for specific spacecraft program(s) and spacecraft of the in-orbit fleet
    • Participate in initial in-orbit checkout and support in-orbit testing
    • Provide technical support for internal processes such as Business Development, Marketing/Sales, and Legal & Sourcing departments
    • Provide payload proposal responses to customer’s RFPs, new spacecraft procurements and on-orbit studies
    • Support Anomaly Management process through anomaly reviews and on-orbit payload performance analysis for the in-orbit fleet
    • Provide spacecraft system training to engineering and operations personnel
    • Travel to vendor sites and SES AMERICOM earth stations
