    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
    • Background in spacecraft power subsystems.
    • 1-5 years related work experience required.
    • Understanding of solar array, battery and power system component design, system parameter trade-off studies and data analysis techniques.
    • Working knowledge in spacecraft test methods and functional requirements verifications.
    • Strong computer software skills required, especially Microsoft Office.
    • Experience in satellite design, Integration and Test (I&T) activities, and/or spacecraft operations preferred.
    • Excellent communications skills both written and oral.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Ensure spacecraft design and build meets SES AMERICOM requirements.
    • Perform on-orbit trending and analysis for spacecraft power subsystems.
    • Investigate on-orbit power subsystem anomalies and generate operational limits.
    • Participate in initial in-orbit checkout and support in-orbit testing.
    • Prepare documentation and establish/verify power subsystems functional requirements.
    • Attend spacecraft design reviews and generate/evaluate power subsystem action items.
    • Monitor spacecraft, environmental test activities and launch site activities.
    • Provide spacecraft system training to engineering and operations personnel.
    • Travel to vendor sites and SES AMERICOM earth stations.
